Don't Hate!

I hate that Amy Winehouse's career has taken such a strange dive into crackhead land; that the real talent she has is now overlooked by people because she does crackhead shit like pissing in public or the gastly photos that show up of her looking like some raving street person. I'm not criticizing the concept of celebrity gossip. I read gossip sites, and it's kinda fun. I feel like a lot of the celebrities you see frequenting THE SUPERFICIAL or WWTDD sort of sign up for it... you know, they can't create anything artistically significant in traditional mediums of film, television or music, so they become part of this live theater thing. I just hate seeing Amy Winehouse lowered into the pit with the Heidi Montags and the Paris Hiltons... in the realm of bullshit where every dicknose who thinks they can tell a joke makes a joke about "Rehab" and think they're the cleverest motherfucker in the world. She's better than those fucks. None of those fucks have ever done anything as awesome as this:



...or "Fuck Me Pumps" or her cover of Sam Cooke's "Cupid." There's real talent there. I'll be honest, I used to think she was kinda hot, too... before she went all trailer park with her fashion choices. Maybe I just have a hardon for British gals, I don't know.

At first, she seemed like she was just this sort of Lily Allen-esque party girl. Nothing wrong with her having a cocktail or two extra, and saying silly shit on TV. But now it's become something else.... like it wouldn't surprise me to see the "RIP Amy Winehouse" headline. Who knows what will happen, I'm hoping she'll get her shit together.
